Pigging is one of the techniques for cleaning operations inside a pipeline system which is hundreds of kilometers long, such as the “cude oil pipeline” at Chevron, Medco, etc. This piping system can become dirty due to various things, such as scale, corrosion due to corrosive fluids, wear, etc. Cleaning & detecting the inside of the pipe using the pigging system is done by inserting the pig into the pig launcher, the pig will slide along the pipeline and be received by the receiving equipment (pig receiver).
